Ready to ride? Visalia Transit’s new on-demand microtransit service can get you there!

Visalia Connect is Visalia Transit’s newest service, providing convenient, flexible service throughout Visalia. With the ease of a mobile app, hailing and paying for a ride is easy as Visalia Connect offers a rider experience like popular ride-sharing platforms.

“We are excited to introduce Visalia Connect to the community,” shares Mayor Brett Taylor. “This service represents a major step forward in providing our residents with modern, convenient, and reliable public transportation that meets the evolving needs of our city.”

Visalia Connect operates during the same hours as Visalia Transit’s fixed-route service (Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and weekends 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.), ensuring consistency and coverage throughout the city. It was designed to complement the existing public transit network by providing enhanced mobility options, particularly in areas with limited fixed-route service, or for riders who need more flexibility.

Thanks to a partnership with the Tulare County Association of Governments and funding from the California State Transportation Agency and SB 125, Visalia Connect stays true to the Visalia Transit Division mission to “Keep Visalia Moving.”

“We understand that Visalians need options when it comes to public transportation. Whether it’s commuting to work, running errands, or heading out for appointments, Visalia Connect aims to make getting around Visalia easier than ever,” added Taylor.

Riders can request trips in real time through the Visalia Connect app, allowing for quick and efficient travel within the city. The price is $5 per trip, per person.

Visalia Connect brings flexible, affordable, and on-demand transportation directly to residents, visitors and community members across the city and joins Visalia Transit’s other rider options that include fixed-route bus service, Dial-A-Ride and V-Line.
