We are now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 program year!

Leadership Visalia is a program of the Visalia Chamber of Commerce. The program is offered as a service to our participants and the broader Visalia community as an investment to ensure effective leadership in our workplaces, community organizations, and civic institutions.

  • Identify, examine, and confront key local and regional issues from a variety of perspectives;

  • Gain knowledge and exposure to a variety of community agencies and opportunities for involvement and impact;

  • Analyze and understand various leadership styles and develop skills and approaches for improving effectiveness;

I have learned who I am as a person and I have grown to understand my personal style of leadership in order to challenge myself and seek opportunities that will benefit my organization and my community.
— Iris East, Visalia Emergency Aid
The best part of this program was the relationships and lifetime friendships that I developed and will continue to maintain. The past nine months have proven very resourceful in many areas of my life and have allowed me to touch others in a positive way.
— Brian Adney, Visalia Fire Department
My fellow classmates taught me invaluable lessons about working with other leaders, discovering creative solutions to challenges, how to better myself in my career and that friendship can be found anywhere.
— Shannon Pisani, City of Visalia Transit
Participating in Leadership Visalia has challenged me to embrace professional obstacles as learning experiences, and has inspired me to see opportunities that enrich and foster a well-rounded personal leadership style.
— Juan Vasquez, College of the Sequoias
My newly established connections with fellow community members and leaders has given me a deeper appreciation for what Leadership Visalia and the Chamber has worked so diligently to do - strengthen the existing leadership network and cultivate exceptional future leaders for our community.
— Amy Davis, ACT for Women & Girls
