Ambassadors Committee

The Ambassadors are the public relations arm of the Chamber - a group of business leaders who generously give their time to act as official Visalia Chamber of Commerce business boosters.

Joining the Ambassadors is an honor, because Ambassadors not only make new friends and acquaintances, but they make valuable business contacts as well.  The committee promotes positive interaction among Chamber members, and through this work, hope to increase member participation in Chamber activities and events.

Working as an Ambassador is an excellent way to expand business contacts as well as network at various Chamber events.

All Ambassador Members assist the Chamber in the following ways:

  • Welcome new firms to the community through grand openings and ribbon cuttings.
  • Assist as needed for Chamber membership retention, i.e. goodwill calls.
  • Work as volunteers whenever possible at chamber functions.
  • Act as host/hostess to the Business After Hours and at Annual Awards.

AttendanceFifty (50%) percent attendance at ribbon cuttings and Business After Hours.  Attendance at all monthly meetings is recommended.

*** Visalia Unified School District is looking for volunteers to help with Be Future Ready Day on September 29th. This is a conference for VUSD Sophomores teaching them soft skills for the workplace. They are looking for people willing to be greeters. The event will take place at the Wyndham. Greeters will need to be there by 8:00am and should be done around 9:15am. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Theresa Polich at tpolich@visalia.k12.ca.us.

*** Oktoberfest 2016 will be held on Friday, September 30th. Purchase your tickets online today or stop by the chamber office next week to get tickets. We have sold more than 550 tickets so far.

*** The Chamber is re-imaging the Business Connection magazine. The new magazine will focus on being a great resource for not just local residents but also for those new to the area or those who are thinking about moving here. We are looking for advertisers. This will be a bi-annual magazine, and the prices for the ads are for both of the upcoming issues which will drop in January and July of 2017. If you have questions call Nicola.

Thank you for all that you do to support the Visalia Chamber of Commerce!
