Emerge

What is Emerge: The Emerge program was created to help new and future business owners do the careful planning required to minimize the risk of launching a new enterprise. Participants will receive hands on experiences as they learn core entrepreneurial skills which will help them take a business idea from the early stages to a business ready to launch. Participants will build a robust business plan and have the opportunity to pitch their business idea to a panel of potential investors and supporters. Throughout the program participants will meet with industry experts who will provide background, current trends and best practices for various aspects of business. Some of the areas featured in this program include: Legal Entities & Business Law,  Human Resources, Business Insurance, Marketing/Branding, Accounting, Taxes, Zoning, Ordinances, Commercial Real Estate, Sales Training and Manufacturing.

Ideal Emerge participants are:

-Individuals who want to open their own business and ensure that they are fully prepared to and have the resources necessary to launch a new business.

- Individuals who already own a business, and realize that there are areas of their business which they need additional education and resources.

Time Commitment: The Emerge program is a six month program which meets twice a month on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. Classes will begin January 10th and end on June 27th. Classes will be held at the College of Sequoias Visalia Campus.
