What is Emerge: Simply stated, Emerge is a "Business 101: How to Start a New Business" The Emerge program was created to help new and future business owners do the careful planning required to minimize the risk of launching a new enterprise. Participants receive hands on experiences as they learn core entrepreneurial/business skills which will help them take a business idea from the early stages to a business ready to launch. Participants will write a robust business plan and have the opportunity to pitch their business idea to a panel of potential investors and supporters. Throughout the program participants will meet with industry experts who will provide background, current trends and best practices for various areas of business. Some of the areas featured in this program include: Legal Entities & Business Law, Human Resources, Business Insurance, Marketing/Branding, Accounting, Taxes, Zoning, Ordinances, Commercial Real Estate, Sales Training and Non-Profit Management.
Ideal Emerge participants are:
1) Individuals who have a business idea and want to start a brand new business but don’t know where or how to start the process.
2) Individuals who currently own or operate a small business and want to take the next steps to help their business grow, or want to make sure that they have not missed any critical steps during their start up process.
