The EDC serving Tulare County circulated a press release today announcing that VWR International had selected Visalia as the site for a new 500,000 square foot distribution center.

Buckman gleaned the first Man of the Year award.

Our Annual Meeting held May 15th highlighted achievements of the past year and recognized our amazing force of volunteers who make the Chamber successful.  “We have experienced changes in our staff and worked hard to continue offering value and benefits in the face of the same difficult economic conditions that have impacted our members,” explained President/CEO Glenn Morris.

The Visalia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2009 Man and Woman of the year finalists.  We received over a dozen nominations for these prestigious awards which honor those individuals who consistently go above and beyond to support our community.  These awards date back to 1952 when C.T. 2009 marks the Visalia Chamber of Commerce’s 110th year in business and we are celebrating the very best of Visalia at the 56th Annual Awards Celebration to be held Thursday, June 18, at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Conference Center.
