The Employment Connection One-Stop Centers are working with College of the Sequoias to offer over 100 six-week, on-line skill enhancement courses.   These short-term "ed2go" courses are not-for-credit courses that individuals can take to upgrade job/career skills, develop knowledge in a career area, or gain skills for a current job.

Last week, Aurelio Bernal proudly represented Youth@Work at a statewide event celebrating the expanded summer jobs program made possible by the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) program. Aurelio was selected from a pool of over 1,800 young people employed this summer in local businesses and agencies thanks to ARRA funds.

The Employment Connection has career scholarships valued at $3000 for qualified applicants!  These scholarships are for training opportunities at our local community colleges, adult schools and training institutions.  These funds are your economic stimulus dollars (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act)  at work.
