Tomorrow the world celebrates the 40th anniversary of Earth Day - a day devoted to the environment since 1970. However, California cattle ranchers have been exemplifying the values associated with Earth Day for generations. The steps ranchers take to improve the environment aren’t new; like Earth Day, they have been around for many decades. In fact, as long as cattle have been raised on their land, their families have worked to protect and enhance the environment.

On Earth Day, April 22, the ImagineU Interactive Children’s Museum will install a sensory garden sponsored by the Tulare County Farm Bureau. The garden exhibit will occupy a 10 foot by 20 foot covered space. The community is invited to come between the hours of 12 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to plant a variety of flowers, vegetables and herbs in the garden.
