March 31st marks the birth of Cesar Chavez (1927-1993), a man who committed his life to helping and improving the lives of others.  To pay tribute to his legacy of service and conviction the Cesar Chavez Celebrating the Legacy Committee is organizing a tribute on Saturday March 27th, 2010.

•WHAT: Closing Ceremony of the “Training for Coordinators of Plazas Comunitarias in the Central Valley”. Representatives from the Consulate of Mexico, Mexican Institute for Adult Education (INEA) of the Ministry of Education in Mexico and Proteus, Inc. will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) related to Adult Education Program for the Hispanic Community in Tulare County.

The Wittman Village Community Center is celebrating its 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, August 7, 2009.  The event will take place at the Valley Oaks Golf Course in Visalia.  Registration starts at 7:00 a.m. Tee Time starts at 8:00 a.m.    There is an $85 registration fee for each player.  Proceeds from the event benefit the Wittman Village Community Center located at 315 W. Pearl St. in Visalia.
