On Father’s Day we celebrated and honored those men who have played or are playing a significant role in our up-bringing.  This man does not have to be our biological father as paternity does not define fatherhood.  Fatherhood is defined by a role that one has taken on, and the responsibility that comes with it in caring for and nurturing a child or children.  This Father’s Day, Aspiranet, a leading foster and adoption program in Tulare County, wanted to acknowledge and thank all foster and adoptive dads who are fulfilling their fatherhood role by sharing their love, parenting skills and support with the many children in our community who need it.
