Pillars of the Community will include photos and short bios of the award recipients dating back to the very first Man of the Year, C.T. Buckman in 1952. The incredible dedication, spirit and selfless giving of these individuals are evident in this historical book. The festivities will kick off at 6:00 p.m. on Encina Street. Enjoy a tropical evening complete with tiki torches, palm trees, and island-style cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The main event will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the reception will take place immediately following the event at 9:00 p.m. Guests and honorees will be treated to a program that includes the presentation of nearly a dozen awards honoring Visalia’s Man and Woman of the Year as well as the Small, Medium, Large, and Agriculture Business of the Year along with many other prestigious honors. To make this extraordinary evening even more magical, authentic Polynesian dancers will perform beautiful and graceful island dances in traditional costumes.
