Helping to create a strong local economy:

The Visalia Chamber of Commerce promotes the local economy by encouraging Visalia Chamber members and Visalia residents to shop locally. All referrals given by the Visalia Chamber are to our members. The Chamber of Commerce website is the area’s fastest link to local businesses in the community. The Visalia Chamber also provides educational opportunities through free and low cost seminars & workshops. To showcase local businesses, the Chamber also sponsors the annual Oktoberfest Business Showcase.

 

Promoting the community:

The Visalia Chamber of Commerce promotes the local community in a variety of ways. We provide lists of community events and non profit organizations both on line and in our monthly newsletter. Relocation packets, Visitor’s guides and Visalia area maps are all available through the Chamber office. This year, the Visalia Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the 25th annual Christmas Tree Auction and Holiday Festival. This premier event supports local charities and non-profit organizations by helping to raise over $250,000 every year. The Chambers annual dinner recognizes the contributions of business leaders in our community with our Large and Small Business of the Year, Agribusiness of the Year, and Man and Woman of the Year awards.

 

Providing networking opportunities:

The Visalia Chamber promotes networking by sponsoring monthly Business after Hours Mixers at local businesses. These mixers are an excellent opportunity to meet other Chamber members, and for them to meet you! The South Valley’s largest business showcase, Oktoberfest, is sponsored by the Visalia Chamber. With over 100 exhibitors and record crowds of 3,000 or more, this is THE networking event of the year! The opportunities to network your business are endless with the Visalia Chamber

 

Representing the interests of business with government:

The Visalia Chamber of Commerce represents your business in the political arena. While you keep your business running, the Chamber watches your back on issues like Workers’ Comp., healthcare, and job killer anti-business bills. The Chamber is in the process of rebuilding our Governmental Affairs Committee and creating a comprehensive website that will help you find information on current legislation and profiles on candidates at the local, state and federal levels.

 

Referrals:

The Visalia Chamber of Commerce receives literally thousands of calls and visits annually from people from all over the world; all seeking information on local businesses and attractions. We only refer our members – period. The Chamber distributes a monthly newsletter to over 18,000 readers and publishes an annual business directory.  The Visalia Chamber also furnishes relocation guides, maps, and visitor’s guides to those interested. Members can take advantage of these opportunities by supplying us with brochures, rack cards or business cards for insertion in these packages and publications.
